Dogs are behind cats, and the honest timeline is long.
There is no FDA-approved GLP-1 for dogs, and no canine GLP-1 trial has been announced. Dogs are named as the next species by the companies testing in cats, but no canine study has started. What is at the FDA for dogs is not a GLP-1 and not a weight-loss drug, and the one canine weight-loss drug ever approved was pulled from the market.
The canine programmes
Neither of these is a GLP-1. They are tracked because they are the regulatory and historical context readers most often mistake for one.
